If you want to get away from tacos…come here! We had seafood soup and a platter, both were great. The soup was rich and plenty of seafood. The platter was delicious, especially the fish and lobster. The fish was crispy in the outside and tender in the middle. Because of the seafood platter the food was around 1000Mx with tip included. We also had a margarita, beer and coffee.

La Cueva del Pescador is one of my favorite places to dine while in Akumal. If you are there any time soon make sure to order the Langostino dinner entrée. It's not on the printed menu but ask for it. It is absolutely delicious.

Very nice restaurant with friendly service and good food. The waiters are very kind and attentive. A real hidden gem is the shrimp with tequila sauce . highly recommended! The price-performance ratio is fair, especially considering the restaurant is located in a beach area.

Little spot you would definitely miss if you’re staying nearby, but a MUST visit. The food was outstanding, from the whole fish to the seafood pasta. Wow, I can see why the locals were eating here. If you are tourist, make sure to stop by here!

We had dinner at La Cueva del Pescador and it was great. We ordered the entire grilled fish and grilled squid. The portion was perfect for two people to share. It came with steamed vegetables and rice. The food was fresh and well-seasoned. We were told the grilled fish would take an hour but it took only 30 minutes. They also gave us complimentary tostadas with salsa before our food came. The menu was in English, and the bill totaled 580 Mexican pesos including a beer and a bottle of water. Highly recommended if you're a seafood lover.
